Tatyana Skevin is principal and founder of Skevin CPA. She has over 20 years of business, accounting, and managerial experience in the US and abroad. Tatyana considers herself fortunate to have diverse experiences in banking, tourism, construction, and most importantly, many facets of accounting, such as assurance/advisory, tax, forensic accounting, and business valuation. Early on she learned importance of deep interpersonal skills leading to many success stories. She believes the experience enables to provide wider perspectives and beneficial solutions for her clients.

 

Tatyana is a natural investigator as she leads forensic accounting analyses in matrimonial litigation, fraud investigation, trust accounting, and any other consulting, or tax engagement. The analytical skills, attention to detail, and dedication to uncovering facts, all were essential to developing expertise in these areas. She maintains Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Valuation Analyst designations that are specific to areas of practice and require continuing and comprehensive training. In addition, Tatyana has extensive experience in conducting audit engagements, evaluating companies’ internal controls, assisting businesses with setting up accounting systems and showing how to analyze financial statements.

Born in a Korean family in the former Soviet Union, she has native fluency in Russian and speaks excellent Korean as a second foreign language.

 

Tatyana holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from University of Economics in Uzbekistan. Having travelled extensively in Asia and in Europe, Tatyana’s work experience abroad includes banking and travel industries.

 

Tatyana volunteers as a board member and CFO of ACFLS Charitable Foundation, raising funds for making monetary grants to persons and entities to enable access to justice, to provide family law related education, and improve California family law process for affected persons, families, or groups in need.

 

She is actively involved in the Forensic Section of California Society of CPA’s where she now serves as a Treasurer of Business Valuation Section.

 

In the free time, Tatyana enjoys traveling with her husband and son, meeting friends around the globe. She has a passion for dancing and reading crime novels.
